Since its establishment in 2002, a large number of fruitful collaborations have been carried out with international organizations, bilateral
organizations and NGOs, and mechanisms of multi/bilateral cooperation have been set up and utilized efficiently. An annual average of 500 China CDC professionals were sent to overseas for short-term visits/long-term training and over500 international visitors were hosted by China CDC for technical exchange o project collaboration; From 2002 to 2014, China CDC sponsored or co-organized over30 international meetings or workshops, and 157 collaborative projects signed with international partners were implemented.Through a full range of international collaborative activities, China CDC introduced into the state-of-the-a t technologies, new concepts and advanced managerial experience from abroad; promoted scientific research and technological innovation, pushed forward the implementation of disease control strategies; improved its technical capacities in responding to diverse public health issues and important events; and enhanced its core competences and increased international influence.
