Lance Rodewald，国际知名的免疫规划专家，现任中国疾病预防控制中心免疫规划高级顾问。长期在美国疾控中心领导疫苗免疫服务工作，2012年6月起，作为世界卫生组织（WHO）驻华代表处免疫规划组长，长期在中国从事免疫规划工作，致力于中国消灭脊髓灰质炎、消除麻疹、控制乙肝以及新疫苗纳入免疫规划的研究。2018年5月结束在WHO工作退休后，中国疾控中心聘任其作为国家免疫规划高级顾问，帮助《中国疾病预防控制中心周刊》英文版（ChinaCDC Weekly）向世界传递中国声音；与中国科学家合作进行学术研究，加强疫苗免疫循证政策制定的工作能力；支持中国参与全球疫苗和免疫方面工作，提名多名中国科学家加入WHO免疫咨询技术工作组，为全球卫生贡献中国力量。新冠疫情期间，他加入中国疾控中心新冠疫苗技术工作组，支持利用科学证据为在中国安全有效地使用新冠疫苗提出建议。
